A home automation products maker finds a way to reach consumers directly

D-Link for decades has sold home automation and computer networking products to retailers and businesses, but selling online to consumers has become its most profitable operation, the company says.

D-Link, a manufacturer of computer networking and home automation products, overcame its struggles with trying to sell directly to consumers when it found a technology supplier to do everything from website development to social media strategizing to picking, packing and shipping online orders.
