Qualcomm wants to ban the import and sale of iPhones in the United States, the company announced today.
This is the latest yet by far most serious development in an ongoing legal dispute between the chip maker and Apple. Qualcomm is filing its complaint with the US International Trade Commission (ITC).
Qualcomm, which has silicon in a broad swath of consumer electronics, wants iPhones that it says infringe on one or more claims made in six patents banned from being shipped to the US.
