It’s not even October, but it’s already time for business owners to start planning for holiday shopping. Now before everyone grabs their pitch forks, it’s not time to start putting out decorations or running Christmas-related sales. However, there is evidence that some consumers are already starting their holiday shopping, and online retailers are in a good position to sell items to these customers.
According to a recent report from the Rubicon Project, nearly one-third of US consumers have already started their Christmas shopping. The study was based on data from global polling firm Penn Schoen Berland who conduct 1,003 interviews among holiday shoppers in the US at the end of August.
